Special Education Committee (SEC) .


Purpose:

The Special Education Committee  brings together people who are interested in special education and children with special needs and is a division of the PTA. We are here for any child receiving services: children who receive speech, reading, or language tutoring, physical or occupational therapy, children with medical or allergy issues, children receiving no services but are challenged in a particular area. We are here for children with learning difficulties, physical disabilities and those who might be facing special issues socially.

 

Mission Statement:

The Special Education Committee of the PTA supports, strengthens and promotes the educational and welfare of children with special needs, in partnership with parents, teachers and administration.

Come to one of our meetings.  Download and fill out our survey. Send it in a sealed envelope marked "PTA -SEC Survey" to your child's teacher or mail it to PTA, PO Box 1571, Mattituck, NY 11952
